MG5 Concept Vehicle Released on Shanghai Auto Show

19th Apr 2011 on Shanghai Auto Show, SAIC launched it’s new generation of sports vehicle MG5 concept edition.

MG5 uses the same R&D and Design platform with MG3, both the two vehicle will also use the same production line, among them MG5 will be positioned as a compact hatchback sporty car, and MG3 then be a mini van.

MG5 will be equipping with the 1.5L VVT engine which is the same as Roewe 350, the max power of the engie is 80kW (109hp), the max torque is 135 N.m, it seems it doesn’t match with its appearance, ah?
